In this unit students will reflect on the changes they can make in their lives that would impact Earth. By analyzing their school's carbon footprint in the areas of Energy, Transportation and Waste, they will construct a written and visual version of the plan to meet the SFUSD Sustainability Goals. The unit ends with a written letter to either the SFUSD Office of Sustainability or the SF Department of the Environment with student proposals. control what we do with our trash and the trash we encounter in our everyday lives. By having your students do a trash cleanup at their school, they can take an active role in preventing the creation of more marine debris.
